IS THERE A SOURCE ON THE AMPLIFICATION FROM TYMPANIC MEMBRANE TO OVAL WINDOW?

No, there's no amplification, in an energy sense, just a transform to higher pressure and lower motion. This section had been copied from hearing (sense) which is why it had a dangling forward reference; it was originally contributed by User:DrSculerati a while back, and represented a not quite right viewpoint.
