Talk:Middle East Policy Council

What is necessarily conservative about this organization?

Have you read the list of members? Famousdog 13:15, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes. Mainly obscure people. Some Republicans and Democrats too. I 'm not saying this organization isn't conservative, just that there isn't proof for it being so. I don't think this falls on the right left spectrum, as its focus is mainly American Arab relations.

Hmmm. I'd argue that the Democrat-Republican axis is Right-Further Right, not Left-Right, but lets look at their occupations:
  • Defense
  • Defense
  • Oil
  • Defense
  • Defense
  • Spying
  • Some Senator
  • Finance
That's a pretty Tory line-up right there! But you're right. There's no explicit proof of agenda, so this is all supposition. If you don't like the label "conservative" by all means remove it or applying a label that you're happy with. And please sign your comments! Famousdog 13:37, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
