Midway Pictures is an award-winning documentary film production company based in Providence, Rhode Island, headed by director David Bettencourt. Its first feature-length movie, YOU MUST BE THIS TALL: The story of Rocky Point Park earned five stars from The Providence Journal when it was released in 2007. Midway has two titles currently in production: ON THE LAKE: Life and Love in a Distant Place, about the tuberculosis epidemic of the first half of the 20th Century, scheduled for release in 2009, and IT'S A BASH, about the 25 year history of Neutral Nation and the evolution of the punk scene in Providence. Future Midway titles include a look at spirituality and an exploration of different people.
