Midtown UNLV is a new development at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Development began in 2002 and the purpose is to expand the university to meet the demands of a major university in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.
The campus master plan was designed by JJR of Ann Arbor, Michigan. This development was considered a means of revamping the historic Maryland Parkway area, which has been beset with crime problems.
