Middlesbrough Frontline

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Frontline is a football hooligan firm associated with Middlesbrough F.C.[citation needed], the oldest firm in the North-East England and one of the oldest firms in England[citation needed].

The Frontline have been in a number of hooligan fights against other firms from rival Football clubs.[citation needed]For many years the Frontline were based only in England, but when Middlesbrough began playing in competitions such as the UEFA Cup the firm started travelling to mainland Europe. Three Middlesbrough fans were stabbed in March, 2006 before the club's UEFA Cup clash against AS Roma in the Italian capital, Rome. A group of extremist Roma ultras have been being blamed for the attack. Reports said they were led by a man wielding an axe.[1]
