The Mid American Buzzards are an EIFL team based in Illinois. They began play in the 2007 season, as a member of the Eastern Indoor Football League, which is not affiliated with the Arena Football League or Af2. However, they left because of lack of insurance (particularly in the case of Matt Holem, who was injured during a mid-game hit with the Northeast Ohio Panthers), and will be seeking membership elsewhere for 2008.
