"Map of Massachusetts", Osgood Carleton, engraved by Joseph Callendar and Samuel Hill, published 1801. This scan is from the David Rumsey Map Collection, and has been cropped to remove extraneous terrain and digitally enhanced to emphasize the canal's route.
