[edit] WP:RS

Please note that wikis are not considered reliable sources, medically reliable sources or appropriate as external links (see point 12). Thanks, WLU (talk) 14:54, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

You posted a comment in my archive. Please post on my talk page. WLU (talk) 18:07, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Note that you also seem to be the webmaster or something similar for wikisurgery. This places you in a conflict of interest, and is another reason you should not be adding the page to wikipedia. At best, you could try bringing this up on individual article talk pages or perhaps the medicine wikiproject for others to review and add to the page if they think there is merit. I don't hold out much hope for that though, it's a small wiki, and it's a wiki. There's no real support for wikis as reliable sources or external links. WLU (talk) 18:14, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikisurgery

Please stop. If you continue to insert inappropriate links I will have to permanently suspend your account. JFW | T@lk 09:39, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

To answer your question on WLU's talkpage:[1] it seems your resource is not peer-reviewed. Therefore, however relevant and useful the information, Wikipedia's sourcing policy opposes the use of other wikis and self-published sources. How about you drop by on WT:MED, where we can discuss the options for improving surgery-related content on Wikipedia. JFW | T@lk 09:45, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
