Michael James Carreon Soriano, son of Jaime Avendano Soriano and Nieves Carreon Soriano, was born on July 18, 1990 in Victory Memorial Hospital. Early in his life, he resided in Brooklyn, NY. When his parents decided Brooklyn may not have been the best place to raise their first child, they moved to West Allis, WI, until finally arriving to their current residence in Greendale, WI. He has one younger direct sibling, Mark (age 11), but looks to all his extended family in the same regard.

Soriano has been greatly influenced by the classroom since the early years at St. Al's. Soriano attended St. Alphonsus Parish School (Greendale, WI) from first grade through eighth grade. He graduated in June of 2004 honored with the opportunity to speak to his class during graduation.
He then attended Pius XI High School (Wauwatosa, WI) from August 2004 to the current year, where he studies as a Senior in the Class of 2008. Soriano has been honored with many opportunities to leave his mark as Vice President of the student government, Graphics Editor of the school newspaper, Administrative Editor of Exploding Pens Literary Magazine and many others. Soriano refers to Pius as a much needed "experience" that was necessary for his educational, mental and social growth. It was at Pius where Soriano met his mentor and Principal, Dr. Melinda Skrade.

Faith has played a strong role in Soriano's everyday life. Practicing currently as a Roman Catholic, he has had minor and short bouts as an Atheist, Protestant and Agnostic. Today, he lives a faith of example. Soriano's religious views have been developed with influence from numerous figures in his life including various theology teachers in his past and the recently deceased Reverend David Meinholz.
By wearing the symbolic cross around his neck all the time, Soriano believes he is constantly presenting his actions in a Christian light for all others to see. The importance of a more accepting and tolerant Church has been an important issue for him especially with issues like Gay Marriage and the institution of a female priesthood.
Although all his decisions are guided by his faith, he believes in a faith that does not force its power on others, but to lead by example.

In the dawn of a very dark period of Soriano's life, he was forced to find a way to break out. After months of conversations with people he looked up to and leaning on friendships, he was still in a state of unhappiness. Eventually, he found it necessary to outline what's important in his life, what he wants from his life and then to form it into a lifestyle. The "Love. Passion. Peace. Style." motto became an essential force in his getting better.
Today, this motto still guides him. Every aspect of his life includes all four tiers of the motto.
He believes in a compassionate lifestyle. Love is the greatest and most important part of his lifestyle. Jesus preached a sermon of love and dignity for all human beings. Soriano believes that compassion and beauty in all human beings must be brought out to live any closer to an ideal. It is his love that motivates his many years of public service and encourages him to aspire for a career in politics, communication or public relations.
Soriano's passion for his issues are evident in his lifestyle, conversations and actions. His passion for issues like health care and poverty encourage his services to free clinics, food kitchens and political campaigns in the local Milwaukee and National levels. Passion also takes a secondary purpose in relationships. He believes, without passion, relationships fail to thrive and become boring.
Peace is a simple, but essential tier in the motto. If a society or individual makes it their goal to reach a peace within itself, rather than looking to be the best, they are more likely to succeed on more levels than that of somebody who does otherwise.
Micah's style is unique, but deeply influenced. He believes that although appearances should not be the primary factor in any situation, it is one of the more important. An individual must know what they want to present to the world and then do what they can to present that.
