[edit] Additional species

Hello everybody! I have no access to ITIS, but according to the Reptile Database http://www.tigr.org/reptiles/ there is a fourth Micrelaps species accepted: M. tchernovi Werner, Babocsay, Carmely & Thuna, 2006. --Karsten Kohls (talk) 08:37, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

It's unfortunate that the ITIS website is unavailable at the moment, but that's the taxonomy we use here. Very many of these articles (including this one) also have a link to a relevant New Reptile Database (NRDB) article, but the NRDB is rather bleeding edge. By that I mean that in the past too many mistakes and inconsistencies were discovered in the NRDB's data, so we switched to using ITIS as a primary reference. In cases such as these, where new species are included in the NRDB but not yet in ITIS, we mention them in the Taxonomy section of the article. --Jwinius (talk) 12:40, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
