I only want to quibble on one factual error. There was no Producer award at the 1964 Grammy Awards. Nor did "House of the Rising Sun" receive any nominations. This was a huge omission on NARAS' part, but facts are facts. Most never received a Grammy nomination. Nor did The Animals. (edit)

If the Yardbirds made Most steer clear of rock groups, why did he produce the Jeff Beck Group?
Because Jeff Beck had already signed a record deal with Mickie Most before Most quit the Yardbirds. On the other hand, there is also some dispute whether he did produce those Jeff Beck Group albums. Apparently Peter Grant claims it was him not Mickie Most who did the production work. Iam 03:49, Jan 22, 2004 (UTC)
