No, I must disagree with whoever wrote that complaint...I think that it follows the notability guideline very well. In fact, if you google "Michael Triantafyllou" an interview will come up between him and PBS where it clearly states that he was awarded a prize for technological innovation by Discover Magazine and was even a runner-up for the first prize.
