[edit] notability

He seems to be notable in the conventional sense as a philosopher, with 3 books by major university presses on conventional topics--there may be more the CV available is several years old. As for his later career, I support the combination makes him even more interesting. As it seem to be his public position, I don't think saying he seriously studies UFOs is a violation of BLP. .
