There are huge NPOV problems here, both pro and con. Lots of vandalism going on in this article. I removed some of the more egregious ones, but I don't know enough about this subject to really give this article the cleanup (or deletion?) it deserves. Actually, what you said does not make the person notably, unless it has been covered. Please read WP:NOTE and read the part about biographies. Then cite your sources. Simply removing the notability tag will get you nowhere. Improve the article, then remove. Aboutmovies 17:27, 8 April 2007 (UTC).

Michael West does not seem to have made any notable contributions to aging research himself.

The 2006 Lasker prize for basic medical sciences was awarded to Elizabeth Blackburn, Carol Grieder and Jack W. Szostak, for work their on telomeres and telomerase. No mention was made of Michael West or anybody at "Geron Corp."
