[edit] Medal of Honor

Since the Vietnam unknown was awarded the MoH, does this award transfer to Blassie? --Daysleeper47 (talk) 13:56, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

No it does not. The MoH that was awarded to the Unknown was a symbolic bestowing to all the unidentified servicemen who served in Vietnam. Although Blassie was a decorated flier, he had not been recommended at any time as having been deserving of the MoH. There are stringent criteria for individuals to receive the nation's highest decoration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.146.4.5 (talk) 20:48, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Name

The article states his name as Michael John Blassie, yet his headstone reads Michael Joseph Blassie. Any reason for this? Emops 01:01, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
