[edit] Transfer rumours

I hav reverted a series of edits claiming Richards has signed or will sign for Chelsea. Regardless of what The Sun has written, at this point in time Richards is still a Manchester City player, indeed as it is still December, the transfer window is not even open at the moment. [edit] Backdoor immigration

It is quite clear that when a child is born whilst his parents are "on holiday" in Britain, happen to be from a former colony, and then decide to stay, that it is an attempt to gain them and their child back-door British citizenship. I have friends who have done it, and it is easily detectable here. Therefore, you really need to stop changing it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.5.202.11 (talk) 22:51, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Um, his parents lived in Leeds. Oldelpaso (talk) 18:52, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
It is not 'quite clear' and it is a liabelous conclusion you have reached yourself and as such original research, it should not be on Wikipedia. You need to back up controversial material with a reliable source, especially in a biography. This is not a place for supposition. Further attempts to add unsourced speculation on this topic could be considered as vandalism. Pbradbury (talk) 19:25, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

And where is your citation? One does not exist. It is equally speculative to say that his parents were "visiting parents at the time", is it not? If you have reached such conclusions yourself, you really should back them up with a "reliable source". The conclusion I reached stands out as far more applicable than yours, thus, we shall keep it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.5.202.11 (talk) 19:50, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

I did not make that assertion,I am not a significant editor of this article I am simply on vandal patrol Pbradbury (talk) 21:35, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, then you are patrolling in the wrong place; this article is as susceptible to vandalism as every one of Wikipedia's 7 million plus articles. I assure you, I have not vandalised this, and have no intention to. It puzzles me why you have changed it, yet again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.5.202.171 (talk) 22:01, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
