The tommy cod (poulamon in French), also called Atlantic tomcod or winter cod, is a fish that is known to run up the St. Lawrence River each winter to reach the Sainte-Anne River in Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade, Quebec which certainly pleases the ice fishing enthusiasts.
