Micrelaps muelleri is a venomous Atractaspidid species found in the Middle East. No subspecies are currently recognized.[1]
[edit] Geographic range and habitat
Israel, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon.[2] Its preferred habitat includes Mediterranean-type shrub vegetation and arable land.[3]

This species is classified as Least Concern (LC) according to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (v3.1, 2001).[3] This is because it does not qualify for Critically Endangered, Endangered, Vulnerable or Near Threatened. Widespread and abundant species are included in this category. Year assessed: 2005.[4]
