Michelle Jacques

Michelle Jacques is an American singer, who began studying acting, modern dance, tap, ballet and violin, beginning at the early age of seven. Michelle is currently the Artistic Director of CHELLE! and Friends. As one of the original members of Street Sounds, Michelle has toured throughout the United States and Europe. She was also an original member of Linda Tillery and the Cultural Heritage Choir and is currently performing with The Kelly Takunda Orphan Project.

Michelle’s acting career began as a voice-acting student at the Voice Factory in San Francisco. Michelle’s on-screen acting credits include Jerica Productions Close So Far, Midnight Kings and There She Goes.

Michelle won the 1995 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARA) for writer of the Best Folk/Progressive Song and was the featured artist for the Women in Music Month concert Series at the Oakland Box Theater.
