Michele Geraldi

Michele Geraldi is an award-winning author who resides in San Francisco, California. She has authored three books under her own name and a vast array of other works under various nom de plumes (most of which she will never freely take credit for). She writes poetry, fiction, music, and essays. She often writes coming-of-age and spiritual pieces. Before publishing her first book, Michele Geraldi worked in radio and developed deep affection for all different genres of music. Her passion for music is displayed in her writing, as even when she does not write poetry, her stories have a rhythm unlike any other author's. Another one of her passions, science (namely astronomy), is often apparent in her writing, as she continually writes about how science and God coexist. In her free time, Michele Geraldi likes to draw, spend time with her family, latin dance, play the piano, play sports and volunteer. She has worked closely with the Make-A-Wish foundation, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Habitat for Humanity.

It should be noted that, although mostly written in the first person with the main character having many of her own traits (eye color, birthday, hair color, height, etc.), the stories Michele Geraldi writes under her own name are rarely autobiographical. Conversely, though they are largely in the third person, the stories she writes under her various pennames are always autobiographical and based on real events. She is also famous for using unconventional grammar (often leaving words misspelled on purpose, creating new words or terms, or neglecting to punctuate dialog) and does not follow standard laws of indentation. When asked why she refuses to conform to literary guidelines, and thus frustrates many readers, she simply says she writes what she wants to read. Somewhat of a rebel, she rejects the idea of having an editor and never allows anyone to see one word she has written until after her book is published.
