Michel Vaarten (born January 17, 1957 in Turnhout) is a retired track cyclist and road bicycle racer from Belgium, who was a professional rider from 1979 to 1992. He represented his native country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada, where he won silver medal in the men's 1.000m time trial behind East Germany's Klaus-Jürgen Grünke. He won a total number of twelve national titles, one European title and one world title, mainly in track cycling.
