Michel Plasson

Michel Plasson (born 2 October 1933, Paris, France) is a French conductor. He is long associated with l'Orchestre et Chœurs du Capitole de Toulouse as as principal conductor from 1968 to 2003, and is now its honorary conductor. With that orchestra, he has made recordings of the best known of the operettas of Jacques Offenbach, including Orphée aux enfers, La vie parisienne, La Périchole and La belle Hélene.

His discography also includes notable recordings of Landowski's Montségur with Karan Armstrong and Gino Quilico, 1987 and Gounod's Roméo et Juliette with Roberto Alagna and Angela Gheorghiu, 1995.
