Michael Edward Cassidy (born September 15, 1955) was the youngest representative in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in history
Michael Cassidy won his first primary for the 80th district in Blair County at the age of 20. He then went on to win the general election two months after turning 21 making him the youngest member of the Pennsylvania House since its establishment. When Michael Cassidy was sworn in, he had recently celebrated his 21st birthday making him able to serve in the House according to the Pennsylvania Constitution.
Currently Michael Cassidy is the executive director of the Democratic Caucus Committee under Representative Mark B. Cohen and the managing editor for COMMONWEALTH: A Journal of Political Science.
