Michael Whalley was a Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing the Belknap 5th District since 2002, after having served the towns of Bow and Dunbarton since 1992. He served as the House Republican Leader during the 2007-2008 House session until his death on March 1, 2008. Whalley had previously served as Deputy Speaker, Majority Whip, and Chairman of the Election Law Committee.
