Michael Stensgaard (born 1 September 1974) is a retired Danish footballer. He played as a goalkeeper for Hvidovre IF, FC Copenhagen, Liverpool FC and Southampton FC. He is most well-known for the bizarre manner of his retirement, as it was caused by an injury he sustained setting up an ironing board.
