Michael Kellermyer was an American journalist and undergraduate student at Harvard University. He received the Harvard's Crimson Scholar Award in 2006 for his abilities in journalism. Kellermyer was an award-winning journalist for the Wall Street Journal, writing many articles on Middle-Eastern culture and customs, as he grew up in Saudi Arabia. Kellermyer was killed on September 18, 2007 when a car he was riding in was struck by another vehicle head on. Kellermyer was thrown from the vehicle, as he was not wearing his seatbelt.
