Michael Coey

Michael Coey (sometimes J.M.D. Coey or simply Mike Coey), born in Belfast, Northern Ireland is an experimental physicist working in the fields of magnetism and spintronics. He is Ireland's most highly cited scientist, having an h-index of 53 (as of September 2006). Coey is a Fellow of the Royal Society, a member of the Royal Irish Academy, and 'Professor of Experimental Physics' at Trinity College in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. He was the recipient of the Royal Irish Academy's Gold Medal in 2005.
