[edit] Career

Brendli first became known on the independent circuit as "Livewyre", occasionally competing under a mask as both El Mondo and El Livewyre. In New York Championship Wrestling, he competed with the likes of Mikey Whipwreck, Matt Striker, King Nothing, Jerry Lynn, and Joey Matthews.

[edit] WWE Developmental

Brendli signed a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) developmental contract in February 2005. He was sent to their "farm territory" Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). First he acted as a manager, then became a full time wrestler and a member of Bolin Services led by Kenny "The King" Bolin.

[edit] RAW brand

Eventually he left Bolin Services and became a member of The Spirit Squad, competing in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) before debuting on RAW. The Squad would become closely associated with The McMahons and would feud with DX and Ric Flair, as well as hold the World Tag Team Championship as a team. Soon enough, the team split with unlikely differences, and only Kenny stayed on RAW, while Mikey and the others went to OVW.

[edit] Return to Developmental

Brendli appeared on the January 17 OVW taping along with Nick Nemeth as the Frat Pack and teamed with Mike Kruel in a match against Seth Skyfire, Shawn Spears, and Cody Runnels. The team disbanded in the early 2007.

He then went back to his "Giant Killer" gimmick and started a feud with Shawn Spears but failed to capture the OVW Television Title at Ohio Valley Wrestling's third Super Summer Sizzler Series event of the year at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky. In August he started teaming up with Nick Nemeth once again.

By September, he was phased out of tag team competition and began dubbing himself "The Professional" Mike Mondo and began feuding with Atlas DaBone.

In September, Mondo was moved to the Florida Championship Wrestling developmental territory and defeated Chris Gray in his debut in the territory.
