[edit] Birthyear

Was Mia born in 1975 or 1976. Some sites state 1975? Hotwine8 02:29, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Yeah the other languages say 76, but her myspace says she's 33 right now, making the date 75.

[edit] Personal page as source

Hello

I recently learned about Ms. Kirshner's personal page on MySpace.com - or so it seems. It was posted in a thread by a user known as a fan on www.mia-kirsher.com. The page on MySpace.com is said to be handled by her personal assistant, occasionally by Mia Kirshner. There is at least one additional MySpace.com-page about Mia Kirshner although this has a disclaimer stating that he/she is NOT Mia Kirshner. (http://www.myspace.com/miakirshner - a tribute to Mia Kirshner)

http://www.myspace.com/mia_kirshner - apparantly the real thing

Do you think the MySpace.com page could be considered as a genuine source? (Mafics 22:16, 24 January 2007 (UTC))

I would have to say no. MySpace is full of speculative and/or completely false information and IMHO should not be considered a valid source for anything. This really ought to be a standard Wikipedia policy but that is for another discussion board.

The page in question has been shut down. (Mafics 00:07, 1 June 2007 (UTC))

The page is up, and it looks valid. I would even add it to the eternal links. The Evil Spartan (talk) 04:49, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cannes Critics' Choice Award

Hello..

I initially wrote the claim that Mia Kirshner had won a Cannes Critics' Choice Award. At that time, still very new to Wikipedia, I did not cite my source. Recently, I tried to verify the claim, which led me to a number of pages where the same claim was made. I suspect these pages for having used Wikipedia as a source; 'cyclic referencing' if you will :).

On the official site of the Cannes Film Festival, I found this page about Exotica(from 1994): http://www.festival-cannes.fr/index.php/en/archives/film/2964

To me it looks as if the Critics' Award went to the movie, and not to a specific person. What do you say? (Mafics 00:31, 1 June 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Johnny's Girl

What? No "Johnny's Girl"? How many more movies might be missing? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.243.152.55 (talk) 10:21, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
