Mi Reflejo is the first Spanish-language studio album (second overall) by American pop singer Christina Aguilera, released in 2000 (see 2000 in music). The album includes Spanish versions of five songs from her debut album Christina Aguilera, as well as six new songs. Aguilera was only semi-fluent in Spanish at the time of recording the album. The yeísmo, where both the y and ll sounds are the same, are pronounced as [ʃ] (realized as a "sh" sound in English). Songs from the album earned her two Latin Grammy Award nominations, one for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Genio Atrapado" in 2000 and she was nominated for Record of the Year for "Pero Me Acuerdo De Tí" in 2001. The album earned her a Grammy Award nomination for Best Latin Pop Album and a win at the Latin Grammy Awards for Best Female Pop Vocal Album in 2001. Christina became the first American Artist to win a Latin Grammy. The album has gone 3x platinum in the U.S and has sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide.[1][2]
