Television presenter, producer, editor and journalist, she is particularly well known as a talk show presenter in Slovenia. She is very much connected to the Eurovision Song Contest, as a member of the Reference Group in the European Broadcasting Union.
She has been working for TV Slovenia since 1989 mostly as the author and the moderator of contact shows. At the beginning she had been creating shows for the Youth Programmes Department which all tried to break down barriers and stereotypes that had been at that time widely regarded as a non-topic for TV shows (homosexuality, education, reform-schools, sex and contraception etc). She has also been working in Entertainment Programme for 20 years as an author and a moderator of prime time contact shows which have also competed in Montreux Golden Rose festival. In the past she had been for several times commentating the Eurovision Song Contest and from 1996 to 2004 she had been the Head of Entertainment and Sports of TV Slovenia as well as an author and a host of the show It's true which had been running for five years as the most successful entertainment show of TV Slovenia which has also been awarded by a special jury of experts three years in a row.
She had prepared and hosted co-production shows with Hungary (Balaton), Slovakia (Bratislava) and Macedonia (Popova Šapka) about culture, entertainment and tourism of a certain region. She had also presented series of jazz shows titled Tribute to … about the great men of jazz.
Through the Eurovision Song Contest she has met many of the European colleagues and their versatile views on international shows mostly based on the classic East-West ambivalence. She is convinced that EBU is the right organization to bring these views together with no regard to language or state. That's why she has been working very keen in Light Entertainment Expert Group (she is one of the vice-presidents of the TV Bureau). At the same time she has been a member of the Reference Group which is responsible for preparing and carrying out the Eurovision Song Contest.
She received a Viktor six times (awarded by the Stop magazine), Kristalni globus thrice (awarded by Nedeljski dnevnik magazine), Zlati ekran twice (awarded by 7D-Monitor magazine).
