Mhasde (also Mazde, Masde, mhasde) is a Indian surname/last name predominantly found in Maharashtra State.
It originates form the Nasik and Jalgoan districts of Maharashtra.
Originally Mhasde's belonged to the Mahar caste of the Hindu religion, but many have given up following Hinduism and adopted Buddhism (Mahayana) also called as Nav Buddha.
