MGM/CBS Home Video was the joint venture between Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and CBS Video Enterprises. The company lasted from 1979 to 1982, when the company became MGM/UA Home Video after CBS's departure. And in 1980, their first release was The Wizard of Oz (now owned by Warner Bros./Turner Entertainment).[citation needed] Their second release was 2001: A Space Odyssey (also now owned by Warner Bros./Turner Entertainment).[citation needed]
