[edit] Early Years

Michael and Matthew Fertig we're born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania on February 12th, 1989 of parents Judy and Glenn. At the time the oldest son, Stephen, was three years of age. They grew up very much normal and because of their older brother they were set through school. All the teachers knew them, the comunity knew them, and to them, most importantly: the girls new them. Judy was a stay home mother while Glenn earned enough to make a living. As kids they were always eager in sports and did not accept anything less then to be the best. With this they found success in their coming years.

[edit] Academics

They grew up fast and attended Highlands High School from years 2003 til June 13th, 2007 where they just recently graduated. throughout High School they were always known as the "popular" ones. They didnt shun anyone though despite the popularity, they were friends with everyone. Michael went throughout school doing well but Matthew was the surprise of the two. He didnt let anything really get in his way of his academic goals. Dont get me wrong now, Michael graduated as well in the top half of his class and committed to attend Slippery Rock University where he plans to major in Physical Therapy. Matthew will be attending Saint Vincent College majoring in International Business and Accounting.

[edit] Athletics

Growing up wasnt all that easy for the two boys. The oldest brother, Stephen, was very competitive with his friends and would drag Michael and Matthew into it. Though they may have complained about the aggression during their youth, its doubtful they would regret it now. Michael shared much of the same success in athletics as Matthew but ventured his own path his Senior year. Both were apart of the triumphant gold medal run where they started Left and Right Wing for the Freeport Soccer Club. They were Sophomore starters on the High School Varsity team as well. As I just stated Michael gave up a life long of soccer, and decided to play Football. There he went on to play wide reciever and join the team in making a strong playoff run. Matthew on the other hand was denied a chance to return to the playoffs with his soccer team, but went on to Win a tri-athlete award for lettering in Soccer, Golf, and Baseball all in his Senior year. I'm Not done yet... Both along with Stephen play ice hockey for Team Dustin at the Valley Sports Complex in a very competitive mens summer league. Though Matt loves hockey, unlike his brother he cannot give up his life of soccer. He will be trying out for St. Vincents soccer team in the fall (August 19th)
