Please read Elizabeth Eldredge's article, "Sources of Conflict in Southern Africa, c.1800-30: the 'Mfecane' Reconsidred " Also your depiction of Shaka and the Zulu as the main catalyst is a bit outdated.

I don't think this article, as currently written, fits Wikipedia's NPOV guidelines. As the previous anonymous commentor said, the article (or at least the lede) is somewhat outdated considering Shaka as the main actor. This article should, in a more balanced way, present Cobbing's alternative thesis earlier, without taking one position as to the true cause. LittleDan^talk 04:22, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
