Mexican rice (EspaƱol: arroz mexicano) is white rice roasted in a skillet with garlic and onions until light brown, then steamed or simmered with tomato sauce and chicken stock. It is used not only as a side dish alongside entrees, but often as a major ingredient in burritos. Spanish rice and Mexican rice are not different from each other. Spanish rice is technically Mexican rice, just with a different name. But, however, it depends on some of the spices and vegetables inside of it.
