[edit] GLASS cOW
Hi Metallicafan1bryan. It was tagged by someone with blatant advertising. I did not delete it on that basis but on the basis that it was as an article about a band that did not assert the importance or significance of the subject. Because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, only notable subjects merit articles. This is usually defined as "being the subject of significant treatment in multiple reliable sources that are independent of the subject." By using this standard we ask essentially whether the world at large has taken note of the subject; we do no judge for ourselves whether the subject is "notable". From reading the submission is seemed pretty clear that this is a cover band just getting started with no fame whatsoever. That is not a topic that belongs in an encyclopedia. Please don't get upset over this. Most people and things are not notable, which is not a reflection of their worth.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:17, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- I have deleted your userpage on the same basis as I deleted GLASS cOW. While userpages and subpages can be used for developing an article that would be appropriate, they cannot be used to host deleted material that does not belong in the encyclopedia proper.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 23:05, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- Furthermore, blatant advertising is a general criterion for speedy deletion. That means it applies anywhere on Wikipedia, not just to articles. —C.Fred (talk) 01:12, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- In response to your comment on my talk page of:
- I SHOULD BE ALOUD TO HAVE ALL THAT STUFF ON MY SITE!
- You're welcome to put whatever you want on your web site. However, Wikipedia—and by extension, your user page—is not your web site. Anything you put up must comply with the guidelines, including those for user pages. —C.Fred (talk) 01:20, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- One more thing. If you'd like the text—either from the article or your user page—recovered and emailed to you, I can do that. —C.Fred (talk) 01:22, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Thats the most retarded thing I've ever heard I had that on there way before i created that stupid page for it.

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button
