[edit] Eastern Church/Western Church
It's true that the wikification there wasn't very informative, but those terms were chosen specifically to include the "uniate" churches on the one hand, and hierarchical churches not in communion with Rome such as the Church of England on the other. It's not entirely NPOV to exclude them as the current revision does. Csernica 07:32, 16 May 2005 (UTC)
- I tried to clarify it, then. If you or someone else can make it more clear, please do so. The old version said "Eastern" and then distinguished Slavic from Greek; this distinction might not apply to the Uniate churches, and unless we are sure I don't want to assume it does. - Yes, that's clearer. Thanks. I know that the Carpatho-Russian Eastern-rite Catholics use the title the same way that Slavic Orthdox Churches do. I'm less certain about those in the Middle East, like the Melkites, so I'm not going to attempt to clarify it any further myself. Csernica 05:40, 18 May 2005 (UTC)
