[edit] General Query

Actually, Metro Conference (became CUSA) voted to oust Virginia Tech and Virginia Commonwealth that caused both schools filed a lawsuit against them. In the end of result, Metro Conference agreed to pay over $1 million to each schools. Of course, they did make mistake by gave Virginia Tech a boot. Ironically, Virginia Tech had to pay more than $8 million to join Big East Conference after they refused to leave Metro Conference when they joined Big East for other sports.

Metro Conference would have 12 teams ,but someone was screwed up everything by asked Florida State to share revenues with Metro Conference members that prompted them to join ACC. After FSU joined ACC, South Carolina decided to join SEC along with Arkansas which would make SEC most powerful conference. My Metro Conference vision would look like this.

North Division Louisville Cardinals Cincinnati Bearcats Memphis Tigers Pittsburgh Panthers (from Big East) Virginia Tech Hokies West Virginia Mountaineers (from Atlantic 10)

South Division Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes (from Independent) Florida State Seminoles South Carolina Gamecocks Georgia Tech (from ACC and was once Metro Conference member) Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles Tulane Green Wave

Too bad, my Metro Conference vision probably won't happen during my lifetime.~John
