Mettupalayam Coimbatore Service (MCS for short) was once a flourishing bus company in Coimbatore. It was started in the 1950s by Sri Katteri Chettiar, Sri Chinnathambu Chettiar and Sri Chinnadurai Chettiar. It was the first bus company to start transport service to the Nigiris district. It had about 350 buses. It was one of the earliest and prestigious companies in Coimbatore, especially in the transport sector. The company had bought buses from foreign companies like Dodge, Ford, Mercedes, and others. It is now defunct.
