Metro Éireann is Ireland's only weekly multicultural newspaper. It is published by Metro Publishing and Consultancy Limited.
History
The tabloid-format paper was established by two Nigerian journalists, Chinedu Onyejelem and Abel Ugba in April 2000. While originally a monthly publication, it expanded and became weekly in 2007.
Metro Éireann has come to be seen as the primary source of news and information on Ireland's fast-growing immigrant and ethnic communities.[citation needed]
