Most of these go against the typical Wikipedia convention to disambiguate articles by using parentheses after the article name, and discussion on WikiProject Astronomical objects has come to the view that the format should be Messier #. The Orion Nebula M42 occupies most of the image area. M43 is just the splodge in the central part. Better illustration for this article would be a cut of this high quality HST image of both these nebulae. I'll try to make it. --Egg ✉ 12:18, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
