I notice that this article has been a stub before and has had the stub template removed. I put it back, in large part because the article could use considerable clarification for a non-scientific audience. Chick Bowen 02:54, September 10, 2005 (UTC)

This article contradicts itself. How can mesosomes "play a role in cell wall formation during cell division" if they don't "exist in reality." Really, that just doesn't make sense how they can both be true --Fastman99 01:34, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

It may not contradict itself, as both are theories and hypotheses. There is no evidence to disprove or prove anyone of thesm to be right.Chiu frederick 14:37, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Article refers to 'recent' studies and citations are from 1976 and 1981, I wonder whether it is really 'recent' or not

seems to suggest that mesosomes are not staining artifacts but rather reflect structural changes in the membrane 140.247.240.174 21:38, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
