Talk:Mesh (scale)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The table of mesh size conversion is not entirely accurate. Also, several other standards exist for mesh size, which are not mentioned here. They are: Canadian, German, British, and French.

[edit] Column Headers in the "Sieve size conversion chart"

<Nmagedman> The "Sieve size conversion chart" has columns labeled BSS, Tyler, and US. Tyler is described in the article, but BSS and US are not. Could someone please describe those systems? Further, the article describes FEPA scales, but they are not included in the chart. Would someone please add them? Thanks! 17:28, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tyler mesh size

I have removed the sentence: "The openings of adjacent mesh sizes in this series differ by a factor of \sqrt{2}", because it is unclear whether this is correct and what exactly is meant by it. 7:24, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
