What is the basis for this statement?

It is supposed that West African people and Bantu got Iron techniques from Meroë.

Please feel free to cite an archaeological source for this claim as for now I have removed this entry because it seems to violate Wikipedia:No original research policy..Mahmud II 20:26, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
