[edit] V8
Was the 302 actually available in the Midsize Marquis? My info says that the V8 was only in the 1985 LTD LX. I have never found any other LTD or Marquis with a factory V8. --Sable232 21:17, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Never mind. There was a very, very rare Marquis LTS model sold only in Canada that had the 302 setup just like the LTD LX. --Sable232 22:54, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Added info
Some of the sections are a little sparse, but I'm not sure how well I wrote this to begin with and I didn't want to make it awkward with useless info. Suggestions? If anyone can find good, high-quality pictures, that would help a lot.
Also, does anyone know if the 255 Windsor was used in the Marquis? The LTD got it, but the Merc may have ben high-end enough to have been spared the agony. --Sable232 21:41, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Page layout explained
The way I have this set up, there is a separate "Infobox Automobile" for the fullsize and midsize models, because it was simpler to do it that way. The information pertaining to all full-size generations can be kept separate from the Fox-body car. Also, I feel that articles look pretty bad when the generation infoboxes don't come close to lining up with their sections of text. The goal is to keep the infoboxes as short as possible. --Sable232 04:40, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:1972 Marquis 4dr.jpg
Image:1972 Marquis 4dr.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] 1973-78 section surveys
The source for these surveys is a pair of Mercury advertisements; given the nature of such "tests," the results do not necessarily reflect the actual preferences of consumers. I don't know Wikipedia's policy on such matters, but should those statements be removed from the article?
