This page should probably discuss the other 300D's as well, the w124's, &c. There were a whole host of models, 350sdl, 300sd, 300d, &c &c that arent documented on wikipedia.

i own a mercedes-benz 300d manufactured in june of 1975 and issued in the U.S. it has a 115 114 body style (same as the 240d's of the same year and earlier, the only noticeable differences are fog lights in the front and a "300D" chrome tag opposite "Deisel" on the rear end) the model number is 115d. perhaps this is not a w123 like the article is talking about but i would think it would be worth mentioning this 300D as a prerunner. (EDIT: 8/24/06 thanks!)
- This is a W115D. In .de it was sold as 240 D 3.0 since the "300" was reserved for big Mercedes, so it's little known, that a 300D before 1976 exists.

Yes, and for sure, the 300CD should be mentioned on this page as it is simply a two-door variation of the 300D, yet has a much sportier styling.
