Talk:Mercedes-AMG
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
PLEASE UPDATE THIS SITE! DIRECTOR IN CHARGE OF AMG is called Volker Mornhinweg. Aufrecht sold the company a couple of years to DC and he left it!
What about the CLK GTR?? Anyone? CLK GTR
Agreed, there should be more info on the CLK-GTR than just a single line on dates of production.
On a related matter, the following line is incorrect:
"In order to retain a small dedicated racing team, H.W.A GmbH was founded by H.-W. Aufrecht in 1999. Their first car was the ill-fated Mercedes-Benz CLR."
HWA GmbH had produced the rather successful CLK-GTR (success defined in this case by winning the 1998 FIA GT Championships). It seems odd to include the mention of the 2-off CLR which was a derivative of the GTR intended specifically for Le Mans, but not mention the CLK-GTR which raced in 15 or more races. Also HWA also produced the CLK-GTR road cars up until 2004.
I think references are needed on the formation of the HWA organization. In any case, it looks like we could do a little updating to the page.Renn208 05:06, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pagani Zonda
Since there are examples of mitsubishi cars that have amg engines, shouldnt the pagani zonda be included in this article as well? (Antonio.sierra 21:15, 8 December 2006 (UTC))
