Mermaid's pool is a legend about pool located Nr The Roaches, Staffordshire which shares a mysterious link with the Atlantic ocean. The water in the pool is poisonous to animals and fish but perfect for mermaids. The mermaid was only meant to appear once a year on Easter eve at midnight and anyone who sees her is either given the gift of long life or drawn to the depths of the pool to face doom.
