Merivale Mall
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Merivale Mall is a medium-sized shopping centre located on Merivale Road in the south-west of Ottawa, Ontario owned by Darton Properties. During the 1970s and 1980s, Merivale Mall was anchored by the two story Woolco store at the south end, and by Dominion at the north. When Wal-Mart bought Woolco's operations in 1994, the Merivale Mall store was closed as opposed to being converted to a Wal-Mart as some others were. The space is now occupied by SportChek on the first floor, as well as the YMCA on the second level. The space formerly occupied by Dominion is now a Farm Boy.
The mall is frequented by High school students at lunch from Merivale High School
